The UF Pro P-40 Responder Shirt combines the functional advantages of a combat shirt with the comfort of a lightweight short-sleeve shirt. Designed for hot climates, intensive training sessions, range days, and daily operational duties, it delivers a balanced combination of freedom of movement, breathability, and load-bearing comfort when worn under tactical equipment. Thanks to its well-engineered hybrid construction, the shirt is equally suited for professional operators and demanding outdoor or training applications.
Hybrid Construction for Breathability and Durability
The material construction combines durable PolyCo Ripstop fabric in high-wear areas with a lightweight elastic knitted torso fabric. This combination provides excellent resistance to abrasion and mechanical stress without restricting airflow. At the same time, the shirt remains flexible enough to support unrestricted movement during operations, training, or range sessions.
While the ripstop reinforcements provide protection and durability, the flexible torso material enhances ventilation and naturally follows body movement. This helps maintain a high level of comfort even during prolonged exposure to heat and physical exertion.
Durable Materials with Excellent Climate Performance
In high-stress areas, UF Pro uses proven PolyCo Ripstop fabric consisting of 67% polyester and 33% cotton. This material combines excellent abrasion resistance with high breathability and dries significantly faster than traditional cotton fabrics. The ripstop structure further improves resistance to mechanical wear and contributes to a long service life under demanding conditions.
The torso is constructed from a lightweight knitted fabric made of 92% polyester and 8% elastane. This material blend supports efficient moisture transfer, offers excellent elasticity, and ensures unrestricted mobility. Despite its extensive feature set, the P-40 Responder Shirt remains lightweight and comfortable at just 0.45 kg in size L.
Efficient Moisture Management in Hot Weather
The combination of breathable materials and an open-knit construction helps maintain a balanced microclimate even in high temperatures. Moisture is efficiently transported away from the body and can evaporate quickly, reducing uncomfortable heat build-up.

Comfort Under Body Armour, Plate Carriers, and Duty Belts
A key feature of the P-40 Responder Shirt is its integrated air/pac shoulder inserts. These air-permeable padding elements improve airflow around the shoulders and distribute the weight of backpacks, body armour, and plate carriers more evenly across contact areas. This helps reduce pressure points and significantly improves comfort during prolonged wear.
Additional lightweight and air-permeable hip padding helps minimise pressure and friction caused by duty belts and waist-mounted equipment. The benefit becomes particularly noticeable during long patrols, extended training periods, and operations involving heavy equipment loads.
Functional Features for Daily Operational Use
The upper sleeves feature two generously sized pockets that provide practical storage space for smaller mission-essential items. Covered zippers protect contents from dirt and loss while maintaining quick and convenient access.
Additional loop panels allow the attachment of identification markers, patches, or unit insignia. Integrated pen holders further improve organisation and provide secure storage for writing instruments and similar equipment.
An extra-long front zipper makes the shirt easy to put on and remove while allowing rapid ventilation adjustment when conditions change. A protective inner lining prevents skin irritation and further enhances wearing comfort.
For long-term comfort, the shirt also features a soft-lined inner collar. This reduces friction around the neck area and improves comfort during extended periods of wear, particularly when carrying heavy equipment.
Compared to a standard T-shirt, the construction offers significantly greater functionality, durability, and comfort when worn with tactical equipment.
