  The Tatonka Akela 35 was specifically developed for young users and is designed for those looking for a fully featured trekking backpack with ergonomics adapted to a smaller frame. Whether for a trekking tour, Scout camp or a bushcraft weekend, the backpack combines a durable construction with tour-ready features for multi-day outdoor adventures.

  The carrying system, tailored to younger users, promotes balanced load transfer and ensures a stable fit even on longer stages. At the same time, the well-designed compartment layout provides ample space for equipment, clothing and a sleeping system.

  Durable materials for outdoor use

  The Akela 35 combines two robust polyamide fabrics specifically selected for the demands of modern trekking backpacks. The lightweight T-Snow Crust fabric is complemented by a particularly abrasion-resistant 420 HD Nylon FD base.

  Both materials feature an internal PU coating and a PFC-/PFAS-free water-repellent finish. This construction ensures reliable performance during regular outdoor use, even in changing weather conditions.

  Well-organized storage for touring equipment

  The fully opening main compartment simplifies packing and provides quick access to the entire load. The separate bottom compartment is ideal for storing a sleeping bag or separating dirty clothing from the rest of the equipment.

  Zippered side pockets, additional stash sleeves and gear attachment loops on the lid, front and sides provide multiple options for carrying equipment externally or keeping frequently used items within easy reach. The wrap-around bottom compression helps maintain a compact and stable load.

  Adjustable carrying system for long distances

  The V Comfort Vario Carrying System is designed to match the anatomy of younger users and can be adjusted to different back lengths. This allows the hip belt to be positioned correctly, transferring most of the load efficiently to the hips.

  Load control straps, a height-adjustable sternum strap and the padded hip belt allow the backpack to be adjusted to different body shapes and load configurations. This ensures stable and comfortable carrying performance even over longer distances.
