The Woolverine from ICEFOX is a hunting-focused loden parka designed for stand hunting, stalking, and general game management tasks. The combination of quiet loden fabric, weather-resistant details, and a well-thought-out feature set makes it a functional solution for year-round use in the field.
Virgin Wool and Camel Hair
Made from 100% virgin wool and equipped with a 2 cm thick insulation layer made from 100% camel hair, the Woolverine consistently relies on natural materials.
This material combination combines the quiet characteristics of loden with the natural thermal performance of camel hair, making it particularly suitable for cold days in the field. In addition, wool has natural odor-resistant properties, which can be particularly beneficial during extended periods in the field.
Weather Protection Without Compromise
To preserve the characteristic properties of loden, the waterproof membrane is limited to the shoulder area and hood. These particularly exposed areas are reliably protected from precipitation, while the rest of the jacket remains breathable and diffusion-open.
As a result, the Woolverine retains its natural wearing comfort and avoids the rustling noises commonly associated with many weatherproof materials. Windproof cuffs further enhance protection in changing weather conditions.
Orbis Camouflage Pattern for Year-Round Concealment
The Woolverine features the specially developed Orbis camouflage pattern for hunting applications. The pattern is designed for year-round use and helps break up the wearer's outline in a variety of hunting environments.
Pocket Configuration for Hunting Operations
Two pockets are located in the upper shoulder area for radios or dog tracking devices. Two chest pockets keep frequently used equipment within easy reach; the left chest pocket is equipped with cartridge loops, and both chest pockets are large enough to accommodate a mobile phone.
Two Napoleon pockets serve as hand warmers and remain easily accessible. The lower section features two large front pockets, complemented by a dedicated compartment for a knife and flashlight on the right side and a zippered security pocket on the left for hunting licenses, documents, or similar essentials.
Rear Pocket with Integrated Seat Pad
A distinctive feature of the Woolverine is the generously sized multifunction rear pocket. It provides additional storage space for equipment and can be accessed quickly when needed without restricting freedom of movement.
The jacket also includes an integrated seat pad, which can be used as an insulating seat during extended periods in a hunting stand or while resting in the field. This provides a practical seating solution without the need to carry additional equipment.
Care Instructions for Loden
Loden is known for its low-maintenance properties. The jacket can simply be aired out and brushed clean.
In case of heavier soiling, the jacket can be cleaned using a wool wash cycle at temperatures up to 30 °C. Spinning should be avoided, and the jacket should be dried flat afterwards. Always follow the care instructions on the garment label; detergents containing optical brighteners should not be used.
